Bill Dombrowski
Senior Vice President, Head of Auto Consumer Acquisition Operations
Bill Dombrowski serves as senior vice president, head of auto consumer acquisition operations at Ally. In this role, he is responsible for front-end underwriting, pricing, conversion and processing for Ally’s consumer automotive loan and lease portfolios. He also oversees business vehicle financing solutions, auto finance data and analytics, consumer originations strategy, quantitative modeling, residual setting, forward flow and passthrough relationships, manufacturer relationships, sales support and credit loss forecasting.
Dombrowski joined Ally in 2008. Prior to his current role, he served as Dealer Financial Services CFO from 2020 to 2024. Other roles at Ally include financial planning & analysis positions within Auto Finance, Insurance, and Invest business lines, auto risk & quality assurance, auto pricing, and process optimization. Prior to Ally, Bill gained early financial services experience in consumer collections at National City Bank.
Dombrowski holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Western Michigan University. He has been an active CFA® Charterholder since 2012 and graduated from the Securities Industry Institute® in 2023. Additionally, Bill was recognized as an Automotive News Rising Star in 2024, and he currently serves on the board of the Ally Charitable Foundation.
