
Spencer Cremers
Chief Information Security Officer
Spencer Cremers has served as Ally’s chief information security officer since 2026. In this role, Cremers is responsible for the administration and execution of information protection and IT risk management at the company. Under his leadership, Cremers and his team ensure the technology and information assets on which Ally relies are secure and protected.
Cremers joined Ally in 2006. Prior to his current role, Cremers served as the chief information officer for the Enterprise Technology and Operations team, responsible for the engineering and operations of the company’s technology infrastructure, cloud services, end-user computing and workforce productivity tools. He also previously served as the chief information officer for Ally Auto Advantage and Global Automotive Services groups.
Before joining Ally, Cremers was the co-founding partner of 4Gen Consulting and a consultant for PwC, working on a wide range of management and IT projects. He is a graduate of the PwC management and information technology training program.
Cremers holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Iowa.
