Craig Winterfield

Craig Winterfield has held the title of business chief financial officer of Dealer Financial Services since November 2009.  In this role, he is responsible for financial oversight, analysis, controls, reporting, accounting, business support, planning and forecasting for the company’s auto finance and insurance businesses.

Winterfield joined Ally Financial in June 2008 as group vice president of Global Finance with responsibility for creating and implementing an integrated financial system for the company, and establishing systems and processes to support the globalization of business support functions  Concurrent with these roles, he also served for three years as CFO supporting the chief investment officer of Ally’s Capital Markets group and also the president of Ally’s Broker/Dealer.

Winterfield has more than 30 years of experience in the financial industry. Before joining Ally Financial, he served as chief financial executive of the Consumer Real Estate and Insurance Services business at Bank of America. He held a variety of other finance leadership roles during his 11-year tenure at Bank of America, including:

• Finance group lead executive for the LaSalle Bank acquisition.
• Business controller for Global Wealth and Investment Management.
• Corporate Treasury and Investments finance executive.
• Regional controller for Latin America and Global Investment Banking.
• CFO for both Commercial and Investment Banking - Real Estate Industry, and Debt Capital Markets.

Before joining Bank of America, Winterfield served for 13-years as vice president and controller in the finance group at J.P. Morgan & Company in New York, which included a four year overseas assignment in Milan, Italy.

He began his career as an auditor at Arthur Andersen & Co. in the New York office.

Winterfield has a bachelor’s of science degree in business and economics from Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA.   He also earned a certified public accountant license in the state of New York.
