Ally’s SmartAuction Receives “Dealers’ Choice” Platinum Award

DETROIT, April 3, 2012 – SmartAuction, Ally Financial’s online used vehicle auction, was named a Platinum Award recipient for the eighth consecutive year in Auto Dealer Monthly’s 2012 “Dealers’ Choice Awards.” SmartAuction is the only company to win an award in the Online Auctions Purchasing Inventory category every year since the Dealers’ Choice Awards began in 2004.

“Being recognized by dealers so consistently is a great tribute to our team. We’ve had an ongoing focus on strengthening our tools and vehicle availability through the SmartAuction online marketplace to help dealers manage their used vehicle inventory efficiently,” said Steve Kapusta, vice president of SmartAuction. “In fact, we now have an average of more than 15,000 vehicles listed on SmartAuction daily, representing more than 55 vehicle makes.

“We are proud of our relationships with a number of key consignors which help to keep SmartAuction fresh, and we’ve added links to transportation providers, vehicle history reports and valuation guides to enhance the dealer experience.  It’s an honor to be recognized by Auto Dealer Monthly for these efforts,” Kapusta added.
