Meg Ryan
Chief Audit Executive
Meg Ryan serves as chief audit executive of Ally Financial Inc. She is responsible for the organization’s internal audit function, as well as administrative oversight of Ally’s loan review function. Ryan was named to the role in November 2024 and reports to the audit committee of the board of directors and to Ally’s CEO.
Ryan previously served as chief financial officer for Ally’s Consumer and Commercial Banking (CCB) businesses, where she had financial management responsibilities for deposits, mortgage, invest, credit card, corporate finance, customer care & experience, and Ally’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) programs.
Ryan joined Ally in 2011 and has worked in a variety of finance and treasury roles including: investor relations, capital management and financial planning and analysis (FP&A). She also served as chief of staff for the president of CCB. Before joining Ally, Ryan spent four years at Bank of America in corporate treasury.
Ryan played a critical role in establishing the Ally Charitable Foundation and served as its’ treasurer from 2020 to 2022. Additionally, she is an active member of the Women ALLYs Employee Resource Group and led the initial build out of the Charlotte chapter. Within the broader Charlotte community, Ryan is on the board of advisors for the University of North Carolina (Charlotte) Belk College of Business. She was recognized by American Banker on the Most Powerful Women in Banking NEXT list in 2020 and honored by the Charlotte Business Journal on their 40 under 40 list in 2023. Ryan holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Miami University.
