Santiago, Chile, March 27, 2012 --
Opel Chile, together with GMAC, announced a new strategic alliance that will combine European quality Opel products with extensive experience in auto financing. This agreement will give to prospective customers a reliable auto finance source appropriate to the needs of each user and also competitive in the marketplace.

Vinitius Soares, managing director of GMAC Chile, said "We will have special loan products for Opel customers. And these shall conform to the sales strategy of the brand that is based on providing a shopping experience that is unique and personalized."

Andres Barrios, general manager of Opel Chile, said that "GMAC is one of the largest and most successful financial services companies in the world, and we are confident that the variety and competitiveness of tailored financing plans will suit the high expectations of Opel customers.”

GMAC’s funding, which may cover up to 100 percent of the cost of the vehicle, has several options that meet the particular needs of each client, including conventional financing ranging from 4 to 60 months; the Smart  Buy, which is an alternative for customers who like to renew their cars frequently and will have the option to include maintenance; and the innovative 50/50, in which the customer provides 50 percent of the value of the car as a downpayment, pays 12 installments of interest, and then pays the remaining  50 percent of the cost in the last installment.

One of the key differentiators for the GMAC financing system will be the speed of service. Through a revolutionary intelligent trading platform online, dealers can offer a personalized plan that calculates payments for the customer using an iPad for support, and the vendor will be able to approve a loan in just 20 minutes.

In addition, Seguro Opel offers the best benefits to the customers including a new chauffeur service, which may be called upon if a driver is needed due to the influence of alcohol.  “This is an added safety feature of our offering,” Barrios said.
