William (Bill) Hall, Jr.
Bill Hall has been president and CEO of Ally Commercial Finance (Ally CF), a subsidiary of Ally Financial Inc., since 2006. Hall co-founded GMAC’s Structured Finance division in 1999 and served as its chief operating officer before becoming its president in 2001. He was named president of Ally CF’s European Operations in 2005. Hall has spent virtually his entire 25 year career in the leveraged finance arena. Prior to joining Ally, he served as a senior vice president at Heller Financial, responsible for a team of professionals engaged in originating and underwriting leveraged loans. Prior to Heller, Hall worked at National Westminster Bank in several key roles, including department head for private equity loan origination. Hall holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Bucknell University. He is also a graduate of the Wharton/CFA Institute of Asset-based Lending. Michael A.
